Welcoming Linnea

We’re proud to welcome Linnea Sundberg to the Board of Directors at Soundverse AI. For the past year and a half, Linnea has been a trusted advisor to the team, helping shape Soundverse’s positioning and strategic direction. Her insights, grounded in deep industry experience, have helped guide key decisions as we’ve grown. Now, as a board member, her influence enters a new phase.

"We are very excited that Linnea has joined the board," said Sourabh Pateriya, Co-founder and CEO of Soundverse. "She has been a very active advisor over the last one and a half years. She has contributed a lot when it comes to the positioning and direction of the company. She’s got a lot of exciting industry insights and we are extremely proud to now have her on the board of Soundverse."

Linnea’s Perspective

Linnea first joined Soundverse in an advisory capacity, drawn to the company’s vision of music creation that’s accessible, artist-focused, and legally sound. She described her interest this way:

"Soundverse embodies the essence of what excites me about working in the music industry: it empowers aspiring musicians to unleash their creativity while fostering innovation in the legal use of music on a daily basis. Joining Soundverse as an Advisor fills me with enthusiasm and gratitude... I believe this pioneering technology has the potential to elevate human creativity to unprecedented levels."

Her commitment has only deepened. This move reflects her long-standing belief in Soundverse’s mission and the opportunity to build new tools for a music industry in transformation.

A Career Spanning Music and Technology

Linnea brings nearly 15 years of experience at the intersection of music and technology. She currently serves as Vice President of Corporate Development and Head of Partnerships at UnitedMasters Inc., a platform and label services company for independent artists. There, she reports directly to the CEO and works on strategic growth and partnerships that empower creators at scale.

Previously, Linnea spent over six years at Spotify, where she led the development and commercialization of artist-facing products. Her work helped establish Spotify for Artists as a central brand for independent musicians, including go-to-market strategies and new revenue initiatives. These efforts built on her deep understanding of streaming market dynamics and the business needs of musicians navigating digital platforms.

She has also held senior corporate development roles at Splice, where she worked on product expansion and partnerships, with a focus on producers and sample-based creators. Linnea's expertise extends across artist services, IP strategy, and the economics of the creator economy.

Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, Linnea holds a Bachelor's degree from Harvard University and a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford. In addition to her role on the board at Soundverse, she is an investor and advisor to several music-tech ventures. Her work consistently champions innovation that supports emerging artists, with an emphasis on access, sustainability, and legal clarity in a fast-changing industry.

Why Now

Linnea joins Soundverse at a pivotal moment. As we expand our tools and community, we are entering a new phase of scale and visibility. The questions ahead are as strategic as they are technical. How do we serve musicians while maintaining trust? How do we balance rapid innovation with thoughtful design? How do we build new revenue systems in a landscape shaped by generative AI?

These are the kinds of questions Linnea has spent her career answering. Her ability to operate across product, partnerships, and IP strategy makes her uniquely suited to guide this next stage of growth.

"We have already been quite fortunate to have Linnea’s experience and deep understanding of our domain as an advisor, and I’m looking forward to her joining the board as a continuation of that relationship," said Riley Williams, CTO of Soundverse. "Her perspectives into both where the industry is going in the future, as well as a broad and comprehensive understanding of where it is today, have been refreshing perspectives when seeking more objectivity in our decision making."

What’s Next

Soundverse is building something new. With tools like the AI Song Generator, our voice-controlled co-producer SAAR, and precision tools like Splitter AI, creators can move from idea to production in minutes.

But tools alone aren’t enough. Our mission is to serve artists and creators in a way that feels intuitive, affordable, and responsible. Linnea’s appointment is part of that mission. Her presence on the board reinforces our long-term commitment to building a creative ecosystem where AI works with musicians, not around them.
