Teaching Agent is Soundverse's AI music teacher for music theory, songwriting and production. It suits beginners through experts who want to understand a technique, not just get a finished file. Open Teaching Agent under Assist & Learn in AI Tools and type what you want to learn, such as sidechain compression for EDM. You can attach an audio example too.

Learn in the chat
Press Generate in Chat. The lesson opens in the chat, and your follow-up questions and quiz answers stay with the same tutor and settings.
Why use Teaching Agent
Five ways to learn
Get a clear explanation, a quiz asked one question at a time, a 5 to 8 step learning path, a session walkthrough or Socratic questions.
Hear the point
With audio examples on, the tutor makes up to two short clips per reply that demonstrate the technique and tells you what to listen for in each.
Teaches from your track
Attach a song and the tutor analyzes its tempo, key, sections, stems or lyrics first, then teaches from what is actually in it.
Videos to watch next
With YouTube videos on, the first reply ends with two or three tutorial links taken from a live web search, matched to your level, when the search finds some.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Teaching Agent, Soundverse's AI music teacher?
Teaching Agent is Soundverse's AI music teacher: an interactive tutor for music, songwriting and production topics. Soundverse runs each lesson in the Agent One chat, where the Teaching Agent explains, quizzes you or lays out a learning path at your level, with optional audio examples and YouTube videos.
How do I learn music production with AI?
Open the Teaching Agent, type the topic you want to learn, pick your level and a format, and press Generate in Chat. In the default Explain format, the Teaching Agent writes a lesson at that level, with real settings to start from, common mistakes and a short exercise, then keeps teaching as you ask follow-up questions in the same chat.
What lesson formats can the Teaching Agent use?
The Teaching Agent has five formats. Explain gives examples, starting settings and a short exercise. Quiz asks up to 25 multiple-choice questions one at a time and marks each answer. Path lays out a 5 to 8 step learning plan. Walkthrough goes through a session step by step, and Socratic teaches by asking you guiding questions.
Can the Teaching Agent play audio examples?
Yes. With Include Audio Examples on, the Teaching Agent can make up to two short clips per reply that really contain the technique, such as a loop where the pads pump on every kick, and tells you what to listen for. When no tool can produce the effect you are learning, the Teaching Agent says so and describes what to listen for instead.
What languages does the Teaching Agent teach in?
The Teaching Agent panel offers seven lesson languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Hindi and Japanese. Pick one under Language and the tutor replies in it. With English selected, the Teaching Agent replies in whichever language you write your questions in.
Is the Teaching Agent free?
The Teaching Agent works like an Agent One conversation: each lesson reply uses tokens from your plan, and the Tutor Model you pick sets the rate, from tutor-lite, the lightest, to tutor-max, the most capable. Audio examples, video searches and analysis of an attached song use tokens too. Soundverse is free to sign up and new accounts get free starter tokens. On the Free plan, what you make is for personal use; paid plans add a commercial license.
Can the Teaching Agent analyze my own song?
Yes. Attach an audio example from your Library or your device, and the Teaching Agent analyzes it first, checking tempo and key, sections, beats, stems or lyrics as the topic needs. It then teaches from what is actually in the track and points to the moment it means. You need the rights to anything you upload.
What can't the Teaching Agent do?
The Teaching Agent teaches; it doesn't make finished work. Ask it for a full song, a music video or a release and it tells you to switch the composer back to Agent One, which makes those. Its audio examples are short demonstration clips rather than tracks, and when a technique can't be shown with a clip, it explains what to listen for instead.
