Buying a License for an AI Tool That Handles Both Music Generation and Video Production
Buying an AI music and video generator? Compare what Soundverse, Adobe Firefly, ElevenLabs, Google and Magnific plans license for music and video.
Before you buy a license for an AI tool that handles both music generation and video production, check what the plan grants for each half, because an AI music and video generator can cover songs and clips under different terms. As of 7 November 2026, Soundverse, Adobe Firefly, ElevenLabs, Google AI plans and Magnific sell both in one plan.
The catch is in the detail. One plan allows commercial video but holds back streaming release for its music; another treats partner models differently from its own. Here is what each company's pages say, then a checklist to run before you pay.
Which AI tools handle both music generation and video production?
Five subscriptions cover both sides today. Each suits a different kind of buyer:
- Soundverse. Songs with vocals, a browser studio and music videos built around your track. For artists who want the song and its video in one place.
- Adobe Firefly. Instrumental background music matched to a video, plus Adobe's own video model and partner models. For editors who already live in Adobe apps.
- ElevenLabs. Eleven Music songs with vocals, plus image and video from partner models. For producers who also need voice and sound effects.
- Google AI plans. Lyria tracks in the Gemini app and Veo video in Gemini and Flow. For artists already paying for Google's AI.
- Magnific (formerly Freepik). One credit pool for several video models plus Lyria 3 and ElevenLabs music. For designers who want stock assets and AI together.
What each plan licenses for music and for video
Every detail comes from the company's own pages, checked on 7 November 2026. Terms change, so reread them on the day you buy.

Soundverse
- Music: Full songs with vocals from a prompt or your own lyrics. Soundverse v9, the newest model, is included on Pro and Max. Paid plans add WAV and stem downloads; Free downloads are MP3.
- Video: AI Music Video Generator turns a track you upload (MP3, WAV, M4A or FLAC up to 50 MB) into a scripted video filmed and cut to the music, at up to 1080p. AI Video Generator makes single clips of 3 to 30 seconds. Both need the Creator plan or above.
- License: Licensing is set by plan: the Free plan is for personal use, and the Creator plan comes with a royalty-free license.
- Watch for: A full music video uses more tokens than Creator includes in a month, so plan on a top-up. You also need the rights to every song and image you upload.
Adobe Firefly
- Music: Generate Music makes instrumental tracks from 5 seconds to 5 minutes and can analyse your footage to match its tone. Adobe's music page says it isn't designed for vocals or songwriting.
- Video: Generate Video runs on Adobe's Firefly Video Model, and every paid tier adds partner models from Google, OpenAI, Flux and others. Firefly Standard lists up to 20 five-second videos and up to 100 minutes of music; Pro lists 40 videos and 200 minutes.
- License: Adobe's plans FAQ says outputs from its own Firefly models can be used for commercial purposes. Partner models get a different line: "You're responsible for determining whether content generated by partner models is appropriate for your project."
- Watch for: A clip from a partner model and a clip from Adobe's own model can sit side by side in one project under different assurances. For a song with your own vocals, you still need another tool.
ElevenLabs
- Music: Eleven Music generates songs and instrumentals across genres, languages and vocal styles, with section-by-section editing.
- Video: Image & Video, launched in beta on 17 November 2025, generates clips with partner models including Veo, Sora, Kling, Wan and Seedance, then sends them to ElevenLabs Studio for music, voice and effects. On the pricing page it appears from the Starter plan, next to the Commercial License.
- License: The general Terms of Use (updated 9 October 2026) limit free users to non-commercial use. Music has its own table in the Music Terms, updated the same day. On every self-serve plan it reads: "All online and offline commercial use permitted, except film, TV, radio, and Studio Games". Music streaming distribution is prohibited on Free and Starter and permitted from Creator up.
- Watch for: The same table limits Starter, Creator and Pro to individual use, Scale to organizations with fewer than 10 employees and Business to fewer than 50. A placement in film or TV needs Enterprise Music.
Google AI plans (Gemini and Flow)
- Music: The Gemini app makes tracks with Lyria 3.5, with vocals or instrumental, up to three minutes long. Its music help page says each track downloads as an MP3 or as a video with cover art, carries an embedded watermark identifying it as AI-generated, and has limits that depend on your subscription.
- Video: Google AI Pro includes a limited trial of Veo 3.1 Lite and 1,000 Google Flow credits. Ultra lists video generation with Veo 3.1 and 10,000 or 25,000 Flow credits.
- License: The plans page says nothing about commercial use. Google's Terms of Service, effective 30 July 2026, say Google won't claim ownership over content you generate with its services.
- Watch for: Not claiming ownership isn't the same as granting a commercial license. Before you release a Gemini track or run Veo footage in a paid campaign, check Google's current terms for that product.
Magnific (formerly Freepik)
- Music: Music generation through Google Lyria 3 and ElevenLabs Music, drawn from the same credits as images and video.
- Video: Several video models, including Kling 4.0 at 1080p and Seedance 2 Pro at 720p.
- License: The pricing page lists a "Commercial AI license" on Premium and "Commercial AI license + music rights" on Plus and Pro.
- Watch for: The page doesn't explain what "music rights" adds. If music is the reason you're buying, ask Magnific before you settle on Premium.
Six checks before you buy a license
- Find the license line for each output type. Music and video can live in different documents. ElevenLabs keeps a separate Music Terms page with its own table.
- Ask who built the model. Bundles mix in-house and partner models. Adobe says so outright, and Magnific's music comes from Google and ElevenLabs models.
- Check streaming release separately from commercial use. A plan can allow music in ads and social videos while holding back release on Spotify or Apple Music. On ElevenLabs, that permission starts at Creator.
- Look for excluded media. Film, TV, radio and games are the usual exceptions. If you pitch for sync placements, read that row first.
- Save the terms with a date. Download the plan page and terms on the day you generate. ElevenLabs' Music Terms say an update that materially reduces your rights takes effect 30 days after it notifies you, so keep a record of what applied.
- Make sure your inputs are yours. No plan covers material you don't own. Soundverse's video pages ask you to use only a face you own or have permission to use, and the same rule applies to the songs and images you upload anywhere.
Where can I buy a subscription to an AI music and video creation platform?
Buy directly from each company's own pricing page: Soundverse pricing, Adobe Firefly plans, ElevenLabs pricing, Google AI plans through the Gemini app, and Magnific pricing. Three tips save trouble later:
- Buy under the name that will own the release. If your music goes out under a company, subscribe with that company's account so the license and the invoices match.
- Check team rules before sharing a login. Several music plans are for individual use only, as ElevenLabs' table shows.
- Start monthly, then commit. Test one real song and video before paying for a year. Soundverse lets you upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time with no lock-in.
One tool or two subscriptions?
Two specialist tools can give better results on each side, but then two licenses have to meet in the middle. The music license must allow use inside a published video, and the video license must allow commercial use of footage built around that music. One plan means one set of terms to check and one place to keep records.

Where Soundverse fits
Soundverse is an AI music platform that takes you from idea to audience, so the song comes first and the video is built around it. Make the track in AI Studio, or generate it with Soundverse v9 on Pro and Max. Then AI Music Video Generator writes a script for that song, quotes the token cost for your approval, films the scenes and cuts them to the music, with an optional lip-synced performance. Its Prompt to Music Video tab makes a new song and its video from one prompt. AI Studio exports video at 1080p on Creator and up to 4K on Pro.
Licensing is set by plan: the Free plan is for personal use, and the Creator plan comes with a royalty-free license. The video tools need Creator or above. For a walkthrough of the one-prompt flow, read one prompt to a full song and an editable music video.
This walkthrough shows one prompt becoming a full song and a full music video, with every part left editable in AI Studio afterwards.
FAQ
Can one subscription cover both music and video for commercial use? Yes. Soundverse's Creator plan comes with a royalty-free license, and Adobe Firefly, ElevenLabs and Magnific all list commercial use on their paid plans. Read the music terms and the video terms separately, because limits such as streaming release, excluded media and partner models differ between the two.
Is a free plan enough to release a song and its video? Usually not. Soundverse's Free plan is for personal use, and ElevenLabs' general terms limit free users to non-commercial use. Treat free tiers as a way to test quality before you buy.
Which option suits a producer who needs vocals? Soundverse, ElevenLabs and the Gemini app all generate songs with vocals. Adobe's Generate Music is built for instrumental background music, so pair it with another tool if the song needs a singer.
Will the music or video carry an AI watermark? Some do. Google says every Gemini track has an embedded watermark that identifies it as AI-generated, and Adobe's music page says Content Credentials are applied to its AI music. Check each tool's page, since this affects how platforms label your upload.
