The controls

Nine controls set how many copies you hear and how far apart they sit.

• VOICES

  How many copies to add, from 1 to 4. Copies alternate between left and right, and SPREAD sets how wide they go.

• TIMING and HUMANIZE

  TIMING sets how far behind the vocal the copies sit, from 1 to 120 ms. HUMANIZE varies each copy's timing and pitch drift.

• DETUNE and SPREAD

  DETUNE adds a slow pitch drift to each copy, and SPREAD sets how wide the copies sit in the stereo field.

• TONE, LEVEL and DRY/WET

  TONE darkens or brightens the copies, LEVEL sets how loud they are, and DRY/WET blends them with the original. OUT trims the result.

Is VocalDuality One a free vocal doubler?

Yes. VocalDuality One is part of AI Studio on every Soundverse plan, Free included, and it uses no tokens because the doubling happens in your browser. The plan sets the studio's limits instead: Free holds 3 tracks per project across up to 3 projects and exports MP3, and Creator and above raise the track count and add WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG and stem export.

Does VocalDuality One sound like a real double track?

It gets close for width and thickness, but VocalDuality One is a doubler, not a second performance. It copies your take with small delays, pitch drift, tone changes and panning, so the words and phrasing match exactly, where a second sung take would differ a little. Keep DETUNE and HUMANIZE moderate for a natural double, or push them for a chorus-like shimmer.

Can I use a vocal doubled with VocalDuality One commercially?

That depends on your Soundverse plan. On the Free plan, what you make is for personal use. Paid plans include a commercial license; the Pricing page lists what each plan covers. Either way, you need the rights to any vocal you upload or record and double, including a feature verse or a sample.

What can't VocalDuality One do?

VocalDuality One doesn't write harmonies or change notes: every copy sings the same melody and words as your take. Its window has no presets, so you set it with its nine controls, and TIMING is in milliseconds rather than synced to the tempo. Very short TIMING with a high LEVEL can sound phasey, so judge the double in the context of the mix.

What is VocalDuality One?

VocalDuality One is the vocal doubler in Soundverse AI Studio. It adds one to four delayed, detuned and panned copies of a vocal and blends them with the dry signal, with controls for VOICES, DETUNE, SPREAD, TIMING, HUMANIZE, TONE, LEVEL, DRY/WET and OUT. It runs in your browser as an effect on any track.

How do I double vocals online?

Put the vocal on a track in Soundverse AI Studio, click the track header, click ADD EFFECT and pick VocalDuality One under Vocal. Open its window and press Play. The defaults, 2 voices, 80% spread and 18 ms of timing, make a good starting point; raise DRY/WET until the double sits under the lead, then export.

Is VocalDuality One AI?

No. VocalDuality One is signal processing: delays, slow pitch modulation, filters and panning, seeded so it renders the same way each time, with no tokens. AI comes in through Agent One. With the Studio switch on, you can ask Agent One to add VocalDuality One to a vocal track and set it up. Agent One requests use tokens; on the Free plan you get three Agent One generations, two of them unlocked by sharing Soundverse.

Should reverb go before or after VocalDuality One?

After. VocalDuality One copies whatever reaches it, so a reverb placed before it is doubled too and can blur the stack. In Soundverse AI Studio, keep Reverb One below VocalDuality One in the track's chain, or load the Stacked Doubles chain preset on an audio track, which runs EQ, compression, VocalDuality One and then reverb.
