What you get
Fix problems precisely
Notch a ring, cut mud or high-pass rumble with nine shapes and a Q from 0.025 to 40.
Shape width, not just tone
Route any band to Mid or Side to keep bass centered or open up the stereo edges.
EQ on every new track
EQ Eight starts on every new track, with eight bands you drag on a curve.
Who it's for
Producers and mix engineers
Handles everything from gentle tone shaping to narrow problem cuts, with up to 24 bands and mid or side routing on each band.
Podcasters
Trims rumble and boxiness from a voice with a low cut and a wide bell, in the same project as the rest of the episode.
Singers recording at home
Cuts the boom and boxiness a small room adds to a vocal, then adds a little presence back on top.
Beatmakers
Shapes kicks, 808s, samples and loops with shelves, cuts and notches so the parts fit together.
Students learning EQ
The response curve shows what each of the nine band shapes does to the sound while you listen.
When to use it
- Your vocal sounds muddy or boxy
- A snare or tom rings on one note
- The low end of a mix feels wide and unfocused
- You want a voice to sound like it's on a phone or an old radio
- You need an EQ move that changes over the course of the song
- A sample carries rumble or hiss outside the range you need
What you can make with it
Room for the kick and bass
High-pass guitars, keys and vocals with Low Cut so the kick and bass have the lowest frequencies to themselves.
A centered low end
Route a Low Cut band to the Side so only the center carries the bass and kick.
A phone-call voice
Use a Band Pass band in the midrange to turn a vocal line into a phone call for an intro or a skit.
A ring, found and notched
Sweep a narrow Bell boost to find the ringing note, then switch that band to Notch.
A warmer or brighter mix
Put Tilt Shelf or Flat Tilt on a full song to tip it warmer or brighter in one move.
A chorus-only EQ change
Automate an EQ Eight band's gain to dip the low mids only in the chorus.
A boxy home vocal
Cut a wide Bell where the room makes the voice sound boxy, then add a gentle High Shelf for presence.
One side of a stereo track
On a stereo mix or stem, route a band to Left or Right only to fix one side without touching the other.
EQ with the spectrum in view
Add Analysis One after EQ One on the same track to watch the spectrum, since EQ One's curve shows the EQ rather than the audio.
EQ One is the online EQ in Soundverse AI Studio: a parametric equalizer with up to 24 bands, nine filter shapes and per-band stereo, left, right, mid or side routing. It's for producers and mix engineers who want precise cuts and boosts on vocals, drums, bass or a whole mix, in the browser. Every new track also starts with EQ Eight, a simpler eight-band EQ, and both are free on every plan with no tokens.

What you can do
Nine filter shapes
Choose a shape for each band.
Bell
Boost or cut around a frequency, as wide or narrow as Q sets.
Low Shelf and High Shelf
Lift or lower everything below or above a frequency.
Low Cut and High Cut
Remove rumble or hiss below or above a frequency, at 12 dB per octave.
Notch
A deep, narrow cut for a ringing tone or hum.
Band Pass
Keep only a band of frequencies, for telephone and radio sounds.
Tilt Shelf and Flat Tilt
Tip the balance from lows to highs: Tilt Shelf pivots at the band's frequency and Flat Tilt at 650 Hz.
Routing and output
Where each band works, and the overall level.
Stereo, Left, Right, Mid or Side
Send each band to the whole signal, one channel, the center or the sides.
AUTO GAIN and OUTPUT
AUTO GAIN roughly offsets your EQ's level change, and OUTPUT trims ±24 dB.
Up to 24 bands
Add bands with ADD BAND, switch any band on or off with its ● toggle, or remove it.
How it works
Add EQ One to a track
In AI Studio, click the ⓘ button on a track's header to open Track Details, click ADD EFFECT and pick EQ One under EQ. Click its slot to open the window.
Add and shape bands
EQ One opens with a low cut, two bells and a high shelf. Click ADD BAND for up to 24, choose each band's shape and set its FREQ, GAIN and Q.
Route bands to mid or side
Set any band to Stereo, Left, Right, Mid or Side, for example a high shelf on the Side for air that leaves a centered vocal alone.
Compare and finish
Turn on AUTO GAIN to offset the level change, trim OUTPUT, and press the slot's Power button to hear the track with and without EQ One.

Why use EQ One
Precise where it matters
FREQ runs from 10 Hz to 30 kHz, GAIN ±30 dB and Q from 0.025 to 40, so you can make a broad tilt or a surgical notch.
Mid/side on any band
Route a band to Mid or Side to keep the low end centered, or open up the edges of a mix while the middle stays put.
Fairer comparisons
AUTO GAIN roughly offsets the level change of your boosts and cuts, so a louder setting doesn't fool your ears.
Quick EQ on every new track
EQ Eight is already on every new track: eight bands from 60 Hz to 8 kHz that you drag on a curve, with FREQ, GAIN and Q knobs and band gains you can automate.

Good to know
A static EQ
EQ One has no dynamic bands or linear-phase mode. For sibilance that comes and goes, use De-Esser One.
Fixed cut slopes
Low Cut and High Cut are 12 dB per octave.
No analyzer in the window
The curve shows EQ One's response, not the incoming audio. Add Analysis One to see the spectrum.
Automation
EQ Eight's band gains can be automated; EQ One's settings can't.
Frequently asked questions
Is the EQ One online EQ free?
Yes. EQ One and EQ Eight are included on every Soundverse plan, including Free, and use no tokens because they run in your browser inside AI Studio. Your plan sets the studio around them: on Free, a project holds up to 3 tracks and exports MP3, Creator raises that to 8 tracks and adds WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG and stem export, and Pro raises it to 20.
How precise is EQ One?
EQ One gives each band a frequency from 10 Hz to 30 kHz, up to ±30 dB of gain and a Q from 0.025 to 40, across nine shapes including Notch, Band Pass and two tilt shapes. Its curve shows the combined response of every band. It's a static EQ built from standard minimum-phase filters, so it adds no latency, and it has no dynamic or linear-phase mode.
Can I use music I EQ in Soundverse commercially?
EQ One changes how your music sounds, not who owns it. On the Free plan, what you make in Soundverse AI Studio is for personal use. Paid plans include a commercial license; the Pricing page lists what each plan covers. You need the rights to anything you bring into the project, including samples, stems and recordings.
What can't EQ One do?
EQ One has no dynamic bands, no linear-phase mode and no spectrum analyzer behind its curve, and its Low Cut and High Cut slopes are fixed at 12 dB per octave. Its settings can't be automated, and it works only inside Soundverse AI Studio, not in another DAW. To see the spectrum while you EQ, add Analysis One to the same track.
What is EQ One?
EQ One is the parametric EQ plugin in Soundverse AI Studio. You add it to any track, shape up to 24 bands over a response curve, and route each band to the stereo signal, the left or right channel, or the mid or side. It runs in your browser, adds no latency and is free on every plan.
What's the difference between EQ One and EQ Eight?
EQ Eight is the simple EQ already on every new AI Studio track: eight bands that start at 60, 120, 250 and 500 Hz and 1, 2, 4 and 8 kHz, which you drag on a curve or set with FREQ, GAIN up to ±18 dB and Q knobs, and whose band gains you can automate. EQ One is the one you add for detailed work: up to 24 bands, nine shapes, ±30 dB and mid/side.
What does mid/side EQ do?
Mid/side EQ treats what is the same in both speakers, the mid, separately from what differs between them, the side. In EQ One, set a band to Mid or Side: a low cut on the Side keeps the bass centered and mono-friendly, and a gentle high shelf on the Side adds air to a wide mix without making a centered vocal harsher.
Can I automate EQ in AI Studio?
Yes, on EQ Eight. Right-click a band's GAIN knob and choose Add automation to draw that band's gain over time on an automation lane. EQ One's settings can't be automated: they change when you move a control and stay put while the song plays, so use EQ Eight for moves that change over time.
Ready to shape your sound?
Open AI Studio, add EQ One to a track and start with a cut, a bell or a shelf. It's free on every plan.
