Do more with Delay One on Creator — from $9.99/mo, or ₹399/mo in India. 8 AI Studio projects with 8 tracks each; WAV, stems and 1080p export. Billed $119.88 a year, or $12.49 month to month.

What you get

In time without the math

Repeats are timed in note values from your project's tempo, with no math to do.

Character in every repeat

Tape and BBD modes darken and saturate each echo; Quartz keeps it clean.

Width that moves

Ping-Pong, Dual and Ratio spread echoes across the stereo field.

Who it's for

Vocal producers

Places echo throws on single words with MIX automation, so the delay appears only where you want it.

Guitarists and synth players

Dual and Ping-Pong styles give riffs and arps rhythmic echoes that move across the stereo field.

Lo-fi and dub producers

Tape and BBD repeats darken and saturate as they decay, for washed-out keys and long, gritty throws.

Beginners

Note-value timing from the project tempo means no delay-time math, and two simple delays cover echoes set in milliseconds.

When to use it

  • A vocal line ends and leaves a gap you want to fill with an echo
  • A guitar or synth part sounds static and needs rhythmic movement
  • You want darker, dirtier repeats rather than clean copies
  • You need an exact delay time in milliseconds, such as a short slapback
  • A mix feels narrow and you want echoes that move side to side

What you can make with it

A throw on the last word

Automate Delay One's MIX up for the final word of a phrase and back down after it, so the echo trails only that word.

Dotted-eighth guitar

Choose Dual for an eighth note on the left and a dotted eighth on the right under clean guitar arpeggios. At tempos other than 120 BPM, check the exported file, since exports time Delay One at 120 BPM.

Dark tape echoes

Pick Tape or BBD and set FBK for several repeats, each one darker and grittier than the last.

Side-to-side echoes

Set STYLE to Ping-Pong so the echoes bounce left and right around a centered lead.

A millisecond slapback

Switch on the Delay • Ping-Pong that new tracks start with, and set Time near 100 ms with low Fdbk for a short slap behind a rock vocal.

Gritty repeats

Raise DRIVE to saturate the sound before it echoes, for crunchy repeats on drums or synth stabs.

Phaser-colored echoes

Pick PhaserDDL for a hollow, colored echo that sets synth repeats apart from the dry part.

A tail into the next section

Set FBK high and automate MIX up from the last hit of a section until its repeats fade into what comes next.

Delay One is the delay plugin in Soundverse AI Studio: a multi-mode echo whose repeats are timed from your project's tempo, with modes that color every repeat and five styles from Single to Ping-Pong and Quad. It's for producers and songwriters who want vocal throws, rhythmic echoes on guitars and synths, or lo-fi tape repeats without leaving the browser. Two simpler delays with time in milliseconds sit beside it, and all three are free on every plan with no tokens.

What you can do

Modes

The MODE row sets the color of every repeat.

  • Tape, HiFi, Chrome, DuckTape and LoFi

Warm, saturated repeats that darken as they go, with a slow wobble; Chrome stays brighter and LoFi adds bit reduction.

  • BBD and Analog

Darker, more filtered repeats with thinner lows.

  • Digital, Quartz, Clarity and Duck

Cleaner repeats: Digital adds light bit reduction and Quartz keeps the full range.

  • PhaserDDL

Repeats colored by six phase-shifting stages.

Five styles

The STYLE row sets how the echoes are arranged.

  • Single

    One echo line, slightly widened.

  • Dual

An eighth note on the left and a dotted eighth on the right.

  • Ratio

A second, shorter echo on the right at a golden-ratio offset.

  • Ping-Pong

Echoes that bounce from left to right.

  • Quad

Spaced taps for a denser rhythm.

How it works

  1. Add Delay One to a track

In AI Studio, click the ⓘ button on a track's header to open Track Details, click ADD EFFECT and pick Delay One under Time. Click its slot to open the window.

  2. Pick a mode and a style

Choose a MODE for the color of the repeats, such as Tape, LoFi, BBD, Digital or PhaserDDL, and a STYLE: Single, Dual, Ratio, Ping-Pong or Quad.

  3. Set feedback and mix

Turn FBK for how many repeats you hear, MIX for how loud they sit, DRIVE to saturate them and OUT to trim the level. The echoes are timed from your project's tempo.

  4. Automate the throws

Right-click MIX or OUT and choose Add automation to bring the echo in only where you want it, such as on the last word of a line.

Why use Delay One

Echoes on the beat

Delay One times its repeats in note values from your project's tempo, such as an eighth or a dotted eighth, so they land in time without any math.

Character in every repeat

Tape and BBD modes darken and saturate each echo a little more as it repeats, LoFi and Digital add bit reduction, Quartz stays clean and PhaserDDL runs the repeats through six phase-shifting stages.

Five styles

Single, Dual with different note values left and right, Ratio with a shorter echo on the right, Ping-Pong bouncing side to side, and Quad with spaced taps.

Quick delays on every new track

Every new track also has Delay • Ping-Pong, off until you need it, with Mix, Time from 50 ms to 2 seconds and Fdbk, and Ping Pong Delay bounces echoes between the speakers.

Good to know

Tempo-synced echoes

Delay One's echoes are timed from the project tempo; after a tempo change, adjust any Delay One knob, mode or style to update them. For a free time in milliseconds, use Delay • Ping-Pong (50 ms to 2 s) or Ping Pong Delay (50 ms to 1 s).

Exports at 120 BPM

When you export, Delay One's echoes are timed at 120 BPM, so at other tempos the exported repeats can land differently from what you hear.

What you can automate

Only MIX and OUT can be automated on Delay One.

Changes apply on release

Turning a knob rebuilds the delay when you let go, so you hear the change after the move.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Delay One delay plugin free?

Yes. Delay One, Delay • Ping-Pong and Ping Pong Delay are included on every Soundverse plan, including Free, and use no tokens because they run in your browser inside AI Studio. Your plan sets the studio around them: on Free, a project holds up to 3 tracks and exports MP3, Creator raises that to 8 tracks and adds WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG and stem export, and Pro raises it to 20.

How does Delay One sound?

Delay One puts its mode's coloring inside the feedback loop, so in Tape and BBD modes every repeat gets a little darker and more saturated than the last, while Quartz stays clean. A gentle wobble keeps the repeats moving, and DRIVE saturates the sound before it echoes. It's built for musical, characterful repeats, and its timing comes from your project's tempo.

Can I use music with Delay One on it commercially?

Delay One changes how your music sounds, not who owns it. On the Free plan, what you make in Soundverse AI Studio is for personal use. Paid plans include a commercial license; the Pricing page lists what each plan covers. You need the rights to anything you bring into the project, including samples, stems and recordings.

What can't Delay One do?

Delay One's echoes are timed in note values, not milliseconds, so for a free delay time, use Delay • Ping-Pong or Ping Pong Delay. Exports time Delay One's echoes at 120 BPM, so at other tempos the exported repeats can land differently from playback. Only MIX and OUT can be automated, and knob changes apply when you let go. It works only inside Soundverse AI Studio.

What is Delay One?

Delay One is the delay plugin in Soundverse AI Studio. You add it to any track, choose a mode that colors the repeats, such as Tape, BBD, Digital or PhaserDDL, and a stereo style from Single to Ping-Pong, and its echoes are timed from your project's tempo. It runs in your browser and is free on every plan.

What's the difference between Delay One, Delay • Ping-Pong and Ping Pong Delay?

Delay One is the full delay you add from ADD EFFECT, with tempo-synced echoes, colored modes and five styles. Delay • Ping-Pong is the simple echo already on every new AI Studio track, switched off until you turn it on, with Mix, Time from 50 ms to 2 seconds and Fdbk. Ping Pong Delay bounces echoes left and right, with Time up to 1 second, feedback up to 95% and Mix.

How do I make a vocal throw?

Add Delay One to the vocal track in Soundverse AI Studio, pick a mode such as Tape and the Ping-Pong style, and set FBK for three or four repeats. Then right-click MIX, choose Add automation and raise the mix only on the last word of a phrase, so the echo appears there and nowhere else. Add Reverb One after it to put the echoes in a space.

Does Delay One sync to tempo?

Yes. Delay One reads your AI Studio project's tempo: in Single, Ping-Pong and Quad styles the echoes start from an eighth note, Ratio adds a second, shorter echo on the right, and Dual sets an eighth note on the left and a dotted eighth on the right. After a tempo change, adjust any Delay One knob, mode or style and the echoes pick up the new BPM. Exports time them at 120 BPM, so at other tempos check the exported file.
