From song to music video: Soundverse's AI video and lip sync tools

Every Soundverse video tool in one guide: song to music video, Lip Sync, multi-scene builds and sound for video. What each does and which plan it needs.

Quick answer: Soundverse can now take a song all the way to a finished video. The AI Music Video Generator turns a track, or a one-line idea, into a directed video cut to the music, with optional lip sync. Lip Sync, Multi-Scene Video Builder and AI Video Generator handle single shots and sequences, while AI Video Describer, Video to Audio and Video to SFX add sound to a video. It's built for independent artists and creators who need release visuals without a shoot, and the video tools need the Creator plan ($12.49 a month) or above.

What launched, and when

Soundverse first showed its AI Music Video Generator in July 2026 with "Sideways Eyes", a song and video made by a Soundverse user. Most of the suite then arrived within three weeks this autumn, each with a walkthrough on YouTube:

  • 29 September: AI Video Describer, inside AI Studio
  • 3 October: Video to Audio
  • 6 October: Video to SFX
  • 7 October: Lip Sync with Agent One
  • 12 October: AI Reels with Agent One
  • 15 October: Prompt to Music Video, and one prompt to a full song plus its music video

Every tool opens on its own from AI Tools, or you can run it through Agent One: ask for "a Bollywood love song with a music video" and it writes the lyrics, generates the song, creates the video and lip-syncs it.

Start with the song: AI Music Video Generator

The AI Music Video Generator is the centre of the suite, with two ways in. The Prompt to Music Video tab takes one prompt describing both the song and the video, makes the song, then films the video. The Custom tab works from a song you already have (from your Library, or an MP3, WAV, M4A or FLAC upload of up to 50 MB), or sings lyrics you paste word for word.

In Custom, leave Auto-generate direction on or write the characters, setting, camera movement and story yourself. Add up to nine image references for the cast and setting, and turn on Lip Sync so the lead sings to camera. It films in 16:9 or vertical 9:16, at up to 1080p.

Before filming, Agent One writes a script and quotes the token cost for your approval. The video then opens in AI Studio with every section editable: the launch demo regenerates the second verse, swaps the chorus shot and trims the intro without starting over.

Make a character sing: Lip Sync and AI Reels

Lip Sync makes one performance shot at a time. Add a character image and up to 15 seconds of vocal, write a shot description such as "close-up in warm studio light", and pick a length of 4 to 15 seconds. The default frame is vertical 9:16 (16:9, 1:1, 4:3 and 3:4 are there too), at 480p, 720p or 1080p.

Two tips from Soundverse's guidance: a clean vocal stem syncs far better than a full mix (split it out first with the Stem Separator), and painterly or anime-style characters work best, because realistic human faces are often blocked.

AI Reels runs the same idea through Agent One: pick a song, upload a character, ask for the reel, and get a lip-synced vertical video for Instagram, YouTube Shorts or TikTok. The 7 October demo also shows Agent One syncing lips to a prompt or to audio you upload, for jobs like dubbing a line or fixing a flubbed take. For a whole song, use the Lip Sync toggle in the AI Music Video Generator.

Build it shot by shot: Multi-Scene Video Builder and AI Video Generator

Multi-Scene Video Builder takes up to 10 scenes, each with its own description, optional first and last frames, and a length of 4 to 15 seconds. Choose Single video for one stitched cut or Multiple videos for a file per scene. To keep a character consistent, give the scenes first frames that show that character.

AI Video Generator makes one clip of 3 to 30 seconds, depending on the model, from a prompt, a still image, reference media or a clip you already have (describe the change, like "make it snow"). Its Model picker includes Google DeepMind's Veo 3.1, ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 and 2.5, and Gemini Omni Flash, and it shows the estimated token cost before you generate. Our model line-up post compares them.

Sound for picture: Video Describer, Video to Audio and Video to SFX

These three start from a video and give it sound.

AI Video Describer writes a timed breakdown of a video of up to 45 minutes: scenes with their mood and actions, dialogue with its speakers, sound effects, and music cues with genre, mood, tempo and instruments. In AI Studio the description sits on your timeline, and any part of it opens pre-filled, ready to become a song.

AI Video Describer puts scene, SFX, music and dialogue cues on the timeline.

Video to Audio (Describe and Generate Audio in AI Studio) turns that breakdown into sound. Right-click a video clip, pick it from AI Tools, check the token total and click Generate All. Music, SFX and Dialogue tracks land locked to the picture, as a first pass to refine.

Video to SFX makes effects only, such as footsteps, doors, engines and impacts, for up to 300 seconds per run. Magic mode makes one clip per detected sound at its moment, and the detection step uses no tokens. Standard makes a full effects bed in up to four takes, with an optional prompt and a Keep dialogue switch.

Video to SFX places effects on the timeline, timed to the action.

The Free plan doesn't include video generation. Creator ($12.49 a month, or $9.99 billed yearly) unlocks video generation, Multi-Scene Video, the AI Music Video Generator, Lip Sync, Video to SFX and AI Video Describer, with 4,000 tokens a month, 1080p video export and the Royalty Free licence ("monetize your content"). Pro ($31.24, or $24.99 yearly) adds 10,000 tokens, 4K export and the Sample licence; Max starts at $72 ($60 yearly) with 25,000 tokens. See pricing (as of November 2026).

Video is billed by the second. Agent One and every panel show the token cost before anything renders, so you approve it first.

How it works: from finished single to release visuals

  1. Put the song in your Library: one you made on Soundverse, or an upload you have the rights to.
  2. Open the AI Music Video Generator, choose Custom, then Use Existing Song. Set 9:16 for Reels and Shorts or 16:9 for YouTube.
  3. Leave the direction on auto or write the story, add image references of your character, and turn on Lip Sync.
  4. Approve Agent One's script and cost quote, and it films and renders the video in your chat.
  5. Open it in AI Studio to regenerate or trim any section, and run Video to SFX for on-screen sounds.
  6. Run single lines through Lip Sync for vertical teasers before release day, then export.

Faces, rights and labels

Only upload songs you have the rights to, and only show a face or use a voice you own or have permission to use; the Lip Sync page also says never to use it to impersonate an artist. If you post to YouTube, its help page on disclosing GenAI content lists content that "makes a real person appear to say or do something they didn't do" among the things creators must disclose (checked November 2026).

On copyright, the US Copyright Office's 2025 report on copyrightability says prompts alone don't make you the author. Parts you create yourself, like lyrics you write and your edits, can still be protected. This isn't legal advice.

FAQ

Can I make a video for a song I made somewhere else?

Yes. In the AI Music Video Generator, choose Custom, then Use Existing Song, and upload an MP3, WAV, M4A or FLAC file of up to 50 MB. You need the rights to the song you upload.

Is there a free way to try the video tools?

No. The video tools need the Creator plan or above, and the Free plan doesn't include video generation. A Soundverse account is free, and new accounts get starter tokens for the Free-plan tools.

Can the singer in my video look like me?

The AI Music Video Generator takes image references of a face you own or have permission to use. For Lip Sync, Soundverse notes that realistic faces often can't be animated, so painterly or anime-style characters are more reliable.

Do the video tools render in 4K?

The generators film at up to 1080p. Your plan sets the export resolution: 1080p on Creator and 4K on Pro.
