Prompt
Evan and Bentlee-Location, Place, and Region of South America
**Place:**
South America has some super cool stuff! There are the Andes Mountains, which are huge, and the Amazon River, which is like one of the biggest rivers ever. The weather is crazy too—it can be deserts or rainforests, depending on where you are. A long time ago, the Inca Empire built these amazing roads all over the place. They had fancy art like the Nazca Lines and really cool buildings that mix European and local styles. Their road system had two main routes—one along the Pacific coast and the other through the Andes. They also built forts, inns, and places to keep food, making it all like an ancient highway!
**Region:**
When talking about regions, you’ve got the Andean States, the Guianas, the Southern Cone, and the Amazon Basin. These are all different areas with unique things about them. There are also some functional regions like the Amazon Basin and the Tropical Plantation Region, which are pretty important. On top of that, you have the Vernacular region, which includes the Tropical Plantation Region and the Mixed Mestizo Region.
For location, let's look at some countries! Argentina is to the south, and its capital is Buenos Aires, which is at 34.6037° S and 58.3821° W. Then there's Peru to the east with Lima at 12.0467° S and 77.0431° W. Brazil is to the west with its capital, Brasília, at 15.7975° S and 47.8919° W. Up northeast is Ecuador, where Quito is at 0.2233° S and 78.5141° W. Finally, Colombia is to the north, with Bogotá sitting at 4.7110° N and 74.0721° W.
So yeah, South America is a super interesting place with cool geography and regions!
